How to convert temperature
Enter the temperature, choose the starting scale, then choose the target scale. Temperature conversions use offsets, so Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin are handled with full formulas rather than simple multiplication.
Temperature uses base Kelvin: K = value x factor + offset, then the target scale removes its own offset.

Why is temperature different from other unit conversions?
Temperature scales do not all start at zero, so the converter applies an offset as well as a scale factor.
Can I convert below zero?
Yes. Negative Celsius and Fahrenheit values are valid, and Kelvin values convert normally as long as the input is physically meaningful.
